Why the $2.2 Trillion-Dollar Bailout Benefited the Rich Lawmakers designed flawed programs that often funneled the most cash to the wealthiest

And since you like numbers, here’s even more! time.com/5845116/coro...

The next bank bailout’s true costs may not be such a mystery Future debates about whether to assist distressed corporations, including New York Community Bank, could be better informed by more educated guesses about costs.

I suggest you research the *hundreds of billion* dollars in corporate bailouts (not including lost payments via corporate tax evasion) that the current administration will likely increase: thehill.com/opinion/fina...

My guess is the silk base was either A. Dyed with iron, when too much is used it deteriorates a fabric over time, or B. “Weighted” silk, an out-of-use process used to up the price of silk sold by weight by adding metal salts, causing the silk to shatter over time!

Rescued from shreds - found this STUNNING embroidery (maybe Chinese?) in a giveaway pile, the silk background was deteriorating badly….

So I stitched it down to a linen base so it can live again! As the front of a dress - more to come!

I ruined the bottom sphere of this snowman attempt, and in true “designers, make it work” fashion (it was almost sunset after all), I turned this into a bust of an LA yogini with top knot

An ode to my many years of coastal living, hence, lack of snowman building capabilities?

Oh, for the record, I made this video of my own process - and I just watch the playback over and over like a nerd 🤓

These quick videos bring me so much joy to watch!

Yes embroidery takes a long time, and I don’t want to ignore that - but watching the process unfold fluidly allows me to think about future designs in a whole new way…

This one’s called crossroads and anytime I hear that word I sing Bone Thugs n Harmony inside… a cousin of mine, at the age of 12, could recite every. Single. Line. Of that song.

He is no longer in this realm, and I think of him every time I hear it 🩶

I do have that already, but it’s sort of like… if there’s a website, but no relevant connections to that website, does it even exist…? It’s already hard enough to get people to click links off of insta! I’m not even sure how to link on here so maybe it’s actually way easier lol

I get the words are important at all, but as a visual learner, I just really don’t see how this can replace a visual scroll 😩

But at this point, I’ll give anything a try.

As an artist I just wish there was an image based alternative?! Never got into twitter so this app is not my fave, and it’s like - it can’t be THAT hard to have a scroll of full screen images?? 😩

I wrote a book!! …it got published the day after the inauguration, and I’ve never felt so much like I was advertising in the middle of a dumpster fire.

Especially since LA is literally on fire.

Anyways.

I wrote a book!!
