It’s rare, but some people on public transit can just be so selfish and rude. #StarCitizen

Not retouched … (I never do, though I very occasionally will crop a screenshot). I think I t looks like something right out of the Crusader Industries marketing portfolio. #StarCitizen #VirtualPhotography

The Twins' admin did not hold back after handing the Mets their 12th straight loss 🤣
Varland with one pitch.
Hoffman needs a sports psychologist or something. He has the tools, but his struggles can’t continue to cost the Jays. Or fray my nerves.
The internet has ruined everyone and everything good, myself included
I regret to inform you that Jeff Hoffman is at it again.
A barren plain, filled with flat rocks, pebbles, and sand. The sky is a yellow colour; the ground fades with distance from the camera, which is mounted on a lander (the base of which is visible at the bottom).
This is what the surface of Venus looks like.

Oh yeah, there aren’t many true progressives in US politics, and the ones who start that way generally don’t stay that way
“I’m progressive, but not vote-for-a-black-woman-who-will-tax-rich-people-more progressive”
There's a reason why Meta's employee keylogging plans are only being deployed in the US -- per experts we spoke to, this sort of monitoring would be illegal in much of Europe, where such monitoring is a violation of worker privacy.
In the US, most states don't even require notice of surveillance.
These tech guys won't rest until they have 100% of the money, instead of the 99% they have now, and they're going to make the world a painful hellscape in the process

There are far worse things than to take those notes to heart!
I was sad when my kids outgrew Daniel Tiger. Great show!
Everything happened very quickly, and most of us were slow to adjust to various aspects. When the efforts and struggles were mutual, it was actually kind of a strange, nice moment for some of us, before things flew apart ofc.
I was a learning systems admin for a long time, I am a friendly introvert, I did a lot of my school projects over ICQ, but a whole year of FT online school is a huge ask of kids for whom recess might be the most valuable school time. It distorts reality even for adults.
It’s amusing to think you could just join Super Grover’s classroom, but yeah I can imagine that is just kind of mind-boggling at those young ages for most kids. Though, I suppose lots of FaceTime-type conversations may have trained kids a little.
Her teachers early on decided to put resource kits together for all the children, and drove all over the region to deliver them and meet the parents and kids while social distancing. They accidentally did pretty much everything right. That wasn’t everyone’s experience.
Mine was reading and had young teachers that were recent grads, *and* the two teachers made a great team. There was so much in her scenario that just worked for her and her classmates, but other (peer) friends had great irl teachers that were terrible online for one reason or another.
