My fellow Canucks, new car headlamps are a menace on our roads and I hope you complete this survey so something can begin to be done about it.

Thirty plus speakers at Edmonton Police Commission to present on Chief Warren Driechel's visit to Israel. First three are sharply against. Tense room.

Mayor Sim, champion of the ponzi scheme, thinks crypto currency will stop wars and solve hunger... Vancouver, do you truly have no better options for leaders?

Remember, despite every piece of data, drivers are ALWAYS right.
They are always the experts.
Everyone else is always at fault.
That's the story the police and media lie repeat ad nauseum, and why would they lie about something like that?

Every ref in this game should be unemployed tomorrow after how they called that too many men.

He's not wrong about the poor refereeing, but ya, it wasn't just in Canada's favour!

I get what you're saying. However I'd be curious if your model then lists the majority of people who played behind him over those 20 years as also not being NHL caliber.

3 months ago 0 0 1 0

Sure but this model didn't say slightly below average. It says not NHL caliber for almost 20 years. Those are very different levels I would think.

3 months ago 0 0 1 0

I have to ask - doesn't this indicate that your model is missing certain factors/metrics?

The guy played first-pair minutes for years and his longevity would indicate that NHL management disagrees with your model.

They've definitely done a heck of a good job discouraging many from getting it and making it inconvenient for those who do.

Hi Bluesky πŸ‘‹

Small life update: I’m at the centre of a multimillion dollar lawsuit in Alberta launched by a failed candidate for Jason Kenney’s UCP

It may be the longest and most expensive media trial in Canadian history

I’m ready to go public about it and I want to share more details with you 🧡

Keeping up with the UCP government's democratic transgressions can be difficult.

But not impossible.

Here’s a running list since Danielle Smith became premier. πŸ§΅πŸ‘‡

Universities across the world seeing this:

"its only wrong 45% of the time!!
Lets buy free licenses for our students, staff and faculty!!
Lets lock into contracts with rapacious predatory AI companies with shitty technofascist politics, sucking up water and jacking up electricity prices!!"

Well I guess it becomes a 2 step process to deal with that stupid law.

"We're removing lanes to enable more pedestrian access and vegetation"

1 year later: "we're adding bike lanes"

Alberta to pay families of younger children should teachers strike Oct. 6, government says | CBC News The Alberta government will redirect money saved during a potential teachers' strike to payments for parents with younger children in public, Catholic and francophone schools.

How about you just put your money towards reducing class sizes and paying teachers fairly instead of making plans to undermine them??

Report: At this point we are just trying to figure who Canadian Parliament WON'T give a standing ovation to OTTAWA - After members of the Canadian Parliament earlier today gave a standing ovation to recently deceased far-right agitator who touted white supremacist theories, Charlie Kirk, we here at The Beaverton are stuck trying to figure out if there’s literally anyone our elected officials won’t celebrate.

Hi. I know I've said this before, but it bears repeating: we have to be able to criticize Mark Carney without living in fear that doing so will help Poilievre or weaken Canada. He is our Prime Minister. Out of anyone, he deserves to be watched and critiqued. We should all be dying on this hill.

30ΒΊC at 1PM makes that 5 in-a-row, when the old record for this time of year was only 3.
5 in-a-row is also the 3rd longest streak for any point of the year. July 2022 & 2021 both went 7 days, and June 1961 went 6.

Lol. Exactly why no politician or closely affiliated individual should be allowed anywhere near elections and ridings boundary decisions.

Is there a chance they attack the definition of "residing" instead of the definition of person? I could see them making an argument that "illegals" are not resident in the state but rather are occupiers or invaders - I don't know if there's any grounds for it though.

I wouldn't tell anyone else how to think or feel, but I will just say that, for me, the only way to stay sane after the 2024 election has been to pretty much abandon hope. The US is cooked. Everything I value about it is doomed. We're heading into a long period of dissolution & chaos.

Interesting study from Germany on e-bikes and the modes they replace:

"43.1% of electric bicycle trips and 63.2% of electric bicycle mileage would have been undertaken using a car if no e-bike had been available, highlighting their substantial potential to reduce transport-related CO2 emissions"
