Big sad. Used to go to the book clubs here when I first moved to Seattle and didn’t know anyone. Was my go to book store for years before I moved off the hill.

Sad to be missing the return of the Vintage Computer Festival PNW in a few weeks. vcfpnw.org Check it out if you’re in Seattle and into retro!
It’s not a coincidence they took away free tacos for every Sounders goal the moment the light rail 2 line opened direct to the taco shop in Bel-Red.
We’ve started yelling NOUHOU to the beat of Blur “Song 2” and I’m not sure why we never thought of this before.
Second time at Lumen in a week. Grass looks great. Teams cooking. Go ‘Ders!

Like why aren’t we seeing piles of fixes for TP Link firmwares, etc? Hardening of consumer products and OT should be step one if this thing is as good as they say it is.
Don’t get me wrong I love using the tools. It’s let me offload a lot of repetitive security engineer work to agents that I hadn’t automated yet. But if they care about security then Glasswing should be about giving out free tokens to remediate or some other program to help the security landscape.
This all feels like racketeering. Pay for AI tools to accelerate your defense or else we can’t protect you.

Can’t wait to see all this in the beginning of a Dan Brown novel in the future.
Stealing this take. I can’t believe this has never crossed my mind before. There’s an incredible number of parallels. PNW Scouse.
The AUS-SEA leg is one of my favorite flights. Talkative Texans blissfully unaware how uncomfortable they’re making Silent Seattleites making small talk for 5 hours.
The amazing, letter-perfect performance of NASA this week is a ferocious rebuke to the right-wing fools who constantly tell us that for-profit businesses always do a job better than the government.

“Here’s Earthy” - Earth, probably.
Artemis II crew so lucky to be getting that far away from the world and its problems right now.
TIL that Vietnam is breaking ground this year on a Hanoi to HCM 350kph rail project that’ll be done before light rail reaches Everett. $67bil cost. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North%E...

Guys at work are all about traveling with this guy now: mhw3bomber.com/products/mhw... Using it on planes, backpacking, and such. Meanwhile I’m out here rubbing Folgers flavor crystals on my gums but hey we all do it our own way.
Hear me out: the equivalent of birthright trips except it’s sending young Californians to China to ride high speed rail long distances.
Cities should use transit cards to encourage public transit use on busy days. Make it a points program. Every 20 rides one is free. Earn points faster on double days when there are sporting events or highway maintenance. Gamify transit adoption.
I’m just happy WAV files are relevant again.
“Downloads hangup.wav from 83[.]142[.]209[.]203:8080, decodes an XOR-obfuscated executable from the audio frames” for Windows machines. Similar technique for Linux/Mac.
I need to spend more time playing with audio stego.
