Key word: "temporary." And, like in California, it was given to the voters to decide, not implemented from on high, like in Texas and the other red states who did this.

Yes, 2/5 of us are this unbelievably stupid, 1/3 still dgaf. That leaves almost 1/4 of the population who paid attention in social studies and are actively resisting fascism. Sadly, we're not enough to override the will of the oligarchs.
Actually, to impeach his entire cabinet, Congress must invoke #Article2Section4. Dems must take back both houses in November and then HAVE THE COURAGE to take these steps! And we must keep the pressure on, daily. #DemocracyIsNotASpectatorSport
MAYDAY! MAYDAY! MAYDAY! No Work. No School. No Shopping. May 1st 2026
I like your stake idea, but boycotting does work—sometimes. The only reason #Kimmel is back on the air is because millions of Disney/ABC/Hulu/ESPN subscribers canceled their subscriptions, an immediate churn rate increase of 436%. #BoycottsWork
Thank you, @jennycohn.bsky.social for this frightening connection of dots. These billionaires and their sycophants are hellbent on destroying the world. #DownWithTheOligarchy #DefundBillionaires

US Sec. of Defense (I mean War) Pete (you can't spell "incompetent without "Pete") Kegsbreath is a Dominionist (who, of course, doesn't know the Bible). #Dominionism is the belief that Christians must take control of social, cultural, and political institutions. #Resist #MAGAtyranny
Five organizations that deserve our support today, more than ever before:

Several sources are listed, and it's a rabbit hole you can go down for hours. My first knowledge of these groups came from stories about survivalist groups in rural Oregon back in the mid-1990s.
"Threat Assessment: Law enforcement and research groups like CSIS and the ADL have identified far-right/militia extremists as the most significant domestic terrorism threat in the US."
"Current Status & 2024 Election: After a lull due to prosecutions, militias are regrouping online (via platforms like Rumble) and targeting the 2024 election cycle, with fears of continued violence and radicalization."
"The 2020 Resurgence & Jan 6th: The movement saw immense growth in 2020, with members engaging in paramilitary activity at protests and conducting plots, such as the conspiracy to kidnap Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Numerous members were involved in the Jan 6, 2021, attack."
"Initially focused on opposing federal authorities, many groups shifted towards supporting Donald Trump and targeting political opponents, particularly in 2020 around COVID-19 lockdowns and racial justice protests."
"They generally believe in fighting a 'tyrannical' federal government and often lean into white nationalism."
Google "the rise of right-wing militias in the us"
"Historical Context & Ideology: The modern movement began in the 1990s (fueled by Waco and Ruby Ridge), inheriting anti-government views, with a resurgence starting around 2008 and accelerating post-2016."
How very *un* MAGA of you. 😜
I love it when a sociopath's hubris makes life difficult for other sociopaths. I'm looking forward to this lawsuit!

Absolutely terrifying. I've been warning people about right-wing militias, survivalist sects, and militarized religious wackos for decades, and no one was ever interested, or they thought I was being hyperbolic.
That's my prediction, too.
A qualified yes, but only if enough of us are willing to tear down the oppressive, regressive structures that make the US work for a small minority by exploiting the majority. The working class, people of color, women, queer people... must benefit from the new US.

I don't think this is a direct quote (though it probably accurately represents his thoughts on the matter) and should be considered disinformation and deleted.
And arranging to keep the hostages held longer prevented what the Reagan team worried would be Carter's October surprise, the announcement that they'd been freed.
