Ah - we're a nonprofit cargo bike library so the city asks us to come to things, we don't have to organize the whole thing ourselves that way.
I especially like this kid map idea, could present results to the city afterwards, hmmm...
What sort of kid activities do you offer at an event like this? We tend to piggyback onto street fairs that are already happening. @freie-lastenradl.bsky.social

Erneuerbare Energien verteidigen! Samstag 18. April, Demos in Berlin, Hamburg, MĂźnchen, KĂśln

The point is not to push you in any one aesthetic direction, but simply to encourage you to have one special outfit for when "It" happens. A good outfit will elevate your mood and help you mark the occasion. Celebrating in a t-shirt is fine â but a nice outfit is better.

WATCH: Whether you love cars or hate cars, you should watch this new video and better understand the truth about the real costs & consequences of too many cars in our cities, and the car dependency many of us live in. You might find it hard to watch, but watch it to the end anyway. Via #NotJustBikes

A multi-pronged transportation reform strategy is critical to curb climate change, slash road deaths, and more.
Iconic Andy Singer cartoon with a driver saying âPublic Transit wastes money. It always has to be SUBSIDIZED!â He is surrounded by evidence that driving is heavily subsidized. In fact, investing in walking, biking, public transit, and housing for the otherwise homeless saves public money.
One of the biggest disinformation campaigns ever applied to cities involves the constant claims that âdriving pays its way.â Itâs actually MASSIVELY subsidized, while things like walking, biking, public transit & supportive housing for the unhoused actually SAVE PUBLIC MONEY. #UrbanTruth

There was a series of tweets on how to describe the band Cake to anyone under 30 ("spoken word poetry at a bowling alley", "Weezer with a trumpet", "half-time ska because the guitarist has carpal tunnel") that slaughtered me at the time

More people can ride a bike than can drive a car! Teenagers and the elderly often can't drive but can bike, especially with new tools like etrikes! Like this delightful gentleman I met back in June 2024 (he may well drive, but a great example of using an etrike!)
Love me a sweet wrasse.

Thank you! At an event last night I said "If the word hope doesn't work for you try, 'Never fucking surrender.'" The word hope seems too sunny to a lot of people, but the heart of it as I'm interested in it is: we make the future in the present, if we show up, and that never surrender part.
