I have rarely ever felt as Main Character as I have today haha! An intense but VERY memorable half hour of my life now 😂
Like who else was she gonna ask if I refused? An 80 year old bingo-starved grandma? I felt like I had to!
(She thanked me profusely for eating the sausage after the show, it was Fun & Socially Exhausting)
Unfortunate picture of me (white person with short wavy-ish brown hair, a white tshirt and black pants) almost kissing a drag queen in traditional Alsacian dress, each of us eating a sausage from both sides. Fun times!
I am, unfortunately, both (mostly) a vegetarian and a people-pleaser, so I ate the sausage (it was a running joke about the drag queen being Alsacian) it was really fun and also sapped my entire social battery for the weekend
Made me feel really Visibly Queer(tm) tho it's nice
Went to a drag bingo with friends (most of the room was old people actually here for the bingo, lol) & was picked out to do the noodle scene with a sausage and publicly called a sauage eater multiple times, then went on to win 5 free theatre tickets in the bingo. I have never been as Main Character
My other recent Situation(tm) was students asking me if it was my lunch period, me saying yes, and them immediately inviting me to eat a kebab with them (I had to pull out the Chill Out We're Not Besties card 😅
Anyway I do not want to know if my 16yo students are blue alien smoochers, and I don't know how to explain to them that no, I don't find him hot, but also I'm aroace so I just laughed, shrugged and said I don't know. Not my most convincinv Getting Out of a Situation(tm) reaction

I really had a 16yo girl pull me aside at the end of our class with a "Can I ask you a question sir?"
And the question literally was:
"Do you agree this guy is hot?"

Also hitting that second puberty as a high school teacher is WILD
Had a student fully tell me "huh, your acne's back! *enthusiastically* One of us, one of us!" And I was too stunned to speak
Like why does this face get mister'd really
The voice??? The grey hair??? The 15yo energy???
I got that teenage boy vibe I guess
(I'm a teacher and I've been asked 3 times this year for my student ID in the high school I've been working at for 3 YEARS)
Baby's first passing dilemma
*I* don't think I pass but I get mister'd 50% of the time because of The Voice now and women are starting to look at me weird in the gym locker room and idk if that means it's time to switch or not cause it's still 50/50
It's my first year having so many students telling me I'm their fave teacher and I fear that I will never know an emotional high this good ever again

Socializing with cool people I like: great
The autistic crash out right after, where I beat myself up for every social misstep I made during that conversation: less great
Speaking a romance language, I was tripping over every adjective to not out myself basically, so speaking about myself without thinking about it twice is really nice
It's my first year being out as transmasc at work and it's really stressful in some ways but sooo liberating in others. Did not realize how much self-censorship was happening on a day to day basis, to students and colleagues alike
I will have a story in this YA queer horror anthology 🪱
I did come out as trans/non-binary to my superior but I did say I didn't necessarily want an admin change because I was going to take things slow. Now I don't pass and I have to explain to everyone why I'm suddenly Mr.
They're trying their best but I wished they'd asked me before making the change
