Gonna have to repeat myself here and plug the latest season of INVINCIBLE again. It's just one of the smartest, most dynamically written shows around at the moment, funny and thoughtful and constantly surprising. I will stop going on about it when it stops being brilliant

Friends in or near CANTERBURY - it’s the final week of this excellent production of Hamlet I’ve been touring with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Come along to the Marlowe Theatre and say hello if you can. It’s been a blast working with such a prestigious company and lovely people
I may end up regretting this, but, dare I say it... from the trailer, I think they might actually have made the best possible film they could, given the inherently silly source material. Been playing the games since 1987, gonna be sat in the cinema Day 1

I took a little convincing to go and see the new film THE DRAMA, but my skepticism was misplaced - it's a thoughtful, complex movie with some of the cringiest social awkwardness I've seen in years. Plus a new candidate for worst wedding speech of all time. Well worth watching x
THE BOYS is back for its final season, and you should all be watching it, mainly because of how accurate this meme is. It’s been wild watching this show transcend its fun but juvenile source material and become THE eminent social commentary of our turbulent times
Admitting to genocide before you even do it
Look, I know it's a cartoon.
I know it's (on the surface) about superheroes.
But if you're interested in great writing, performances, visuals and overall storytelling, you should really be watching INVINCIBLE on Prime Video.
The most recent episode has kind of blown my mind
Crazy to think I've been listening to banging tunes from ROBYN for four different decades now, from showing me love in the 90s, to dancing on my own in the 00s, to missing u in the 10s. Digital dance music with a heart and soul. Her new album SEXISTENTIAL has plenty more on it x
People in the UK can finally watch the new medical drama THE PITT, and believe the hype - it's truly excellent. Brilliantly staged and filmed, with a tremendous cast, a sharp political sensibility and an inspired setup (each episode is a real-time hour of a single hospital shift)
Meet me by stage door, there’s drinks after but I can get you in x
This week, the terrific production of Hamlet I’m doing with the Royal Shakespeare Company will be showing at the rather grand Theatre Royal in NEWCASTLE. Come say hello if you’re nearby!
See you tonight?
Day off yesterday, so I watched the new Pixar film HOPPERS. Definitely their funniest feature in quite some time, even if talking animals is an easy swing. And the thing is, even a standard Pixar movie is still better than 90% of other films out there, animated or otherwise
Had the pleasure of watching the outstanding new film PROJECT HAIL MARY in the cinema last night, a truly excellent adaptation of the wonderful book. Smart science coupled with an extraordinary sense of humanity and empathy, emotional, funny, everything you want from a film x
Nobody should ever, ever attack ambulances.
Anywhere in the world.
Managed to catch up with the new season of INVINCIBLE on Prime Video, which even after superhero fatigue has set in everywhere is still by far the most interesting deconstruction of the genre. The amount of emotional weight they've earned in this show is extremely impressive
Friends in NOTTINGHAM - the excellent production of Hamlet I’m in with the Royal Shakespeare Company is playing at your gorgeous Theatre Royal this week. Come say hello! X
A long train ride means I've caught up with the second season of the live-action ONE PIECE series on Netflix, which remains as goofy and fun and kind of remarkable. I always insisted that the strange tone of anime would never work in live action, and this show proves me wrong
Oscars predictions
With the Oscars coming up on Sunday and an afternoon free, I watched the Spanish film SIRAT, which was... quite an experience. Desert ravers trying to avoid landmines while extremely high. It's intense, deeply strange in places and an expert example of how to ratchet up tension
Violence begets violence.
Whoever the victim is, whoever the perpetrator is.
It solves nothing, and sows the seeds of future atrocities.
There is always another, peaceful, option.
Look for it x
Friends in NORWICH - this excellent production of Hamlet I'm in with the Royal Shakespeare Company will be playing at your very own Theatre Royal this week. Come and say hello if you're about! x
See you after!
Mate, let me know when!
This week, our terrific production of HAMLET with the Royal Shakespeare Company is playing at the beautiful Alhambra Theatre in BRADFORD. Anyone nearby come and check us out!
At last, some political hope.
Labour lied and lied and lied about this election.
Shame on them, and congratulations to Hannah Spencer x
Friends near TRURO - we are performing a wonderful production of HAMLET this week with the Royal Shakespeare Company. Come and say hello!
