WB wants to milk this franchise dry so they're making the world's most expensive commercial for merch as that is the only non-theme park success they've had in a decade+

Can't even claim "more accurate to the books" as bonus till season 3 considering the first two movies were near word for word aside from a few scenes cut for time/pacing. I really can't fathom being excited for this even if I hadn't stopped supporting Potter for other more important reason

It's like if Star Wars just remade the original trilogy 3 times instead of doing a prequel trilogy and a sequel trilogy but also all done by George Lucas and all there was one or two attempts at spin offs but they were so bad people pretend they don't exist leading to just another round of remakes

They can't even deviate much because the merchandise/branding has to be consistent and all versions have to pass through jk who doesn't allow any major deviations. No new Visions. No new takes. No creative twists. Just the same story told the same way with the same visuals.

Putting aside the issues with jk (which we should put aside but this is just a tweet not an essay), aren't people tired of potter?
