A friend of mine purchased this mid January of 2008 with money he was given for Christmas. I remember driving him to Best Buy to get it. As he was getting it, I was looking at the PS3 games and Blu-Ray movies. After the death of HD-DVD, this memory is a lot funnier to me.
It was fun. No denying that. I know I played it thru 3 times in a row.
Nintendo 64DD (disk drive). It utilized proprietary magnetic floppy disks and even allowed for online gaming. 15,000 units were sold in Japan when it was released in 1999. Swing and a miss, total failure.
Resident Evil 4 was……unsettling
I hope another game in the future is the cultural phenomenon that Halo was
1993 was lit as well!

The Sony PSX. Released in Japan in 2003. It’s a console and a digital video recorder. You could also connect to your PSP.
Orange Halo Edition Xbox. Only 3 are known to exist.
Dark Crystal Xbox released in Japan. 50,000 were released. Each console came with a serialized key chain.
EA Special Edition Xbox. Provided to EA for helping support Xbox Live. It’s reported 110 were made. It’s a shame it’s not feasible for multiple variants to be available at the launch of consoles.
Memories…..
The Canadian Crystal Limited Edition original Xbox. Released with Fable and Crimson Skies. Also released at some point in Japan and the UK. Too bad they weren’t widely circulated.
