Oh, I grew up in the 1980s-1990s. I mean, I actually have memories of the 1970s. I just never ran into this. Maybe it's because I lived in the ghetto.

I had the English language version of this poster on my wall in high school.
Wham! goths?
Wham! goths . . . .
Huh.
The first panel shows a crow with the title "How to live a good life". The second panel shows a crow cawing at itself in the mirror with the subheading "Make friends". The next panel says "Explore" and shows a crow looking into a commercial waste bin. The next says "Try new things" with a crow eating something vile. The next one says "Be curious" and shows the crow grabbing a hissing cat's tail". The final frame says "Get a hobby" and shows the crow looking closely at a book of matches.

I'll probably ride it 'til July. After that, I'm done with social media.
Ha ha ha!
Yeah, not many images are loading.
And when they have no idea what they actually want and/or have zero perspective on what they're asking for, that time/effort sink becomes ten times worse.
I'm the rare illustrator who would also do graphic design, copy editing, and even the occasional script, if a job called for it. So, when an acquaintance or non-immediate family member asked for such things, I'd have to lie to drive them off. Boy-howdy, did I lie! And I felt justified in doing so.
Favourite face Iβve drawn today.

Why not work to make the invasive data collecting and brokering illegal in the first place, eh? Cut the problem off at the roots? π€
Here you go. βπ»

I find myself repeatedly getting the urge to collaborate with other writers and artists. I hate this urge for several reasons. Firstly, I don't want to do it over the Internet. Secondly, with that in mind, I no longer know any creative people who live proximate to me. Then there's the despair....

My god the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament knows how to troll finance. Including with Bloomberg terminal entries.
One of the earliest issues of a cape book I got my grubby mitts on. Comics still felt new and strange.
Controversial opinion: Jonny Lee Miller was the better contemporarily-set Sherlock Holmes.
I'm fairly certain you could find a hoodie made from chambray. Very good fabric for summer weather.
"Pickled chow"?
"Pickles in cans, for every man"?
"Pickles small, pickles for all"?
Hrm. Curious.
The rendering on the lower half is like, if KΓ€the Kollwitz was a cartoonist.
1917 editorial cartoon in the New York Tribune
The rendering looks like Rudy Nebres, but I'm not sure if he penciled it. I can't find any creator credits online.
This guitar needs a mullet.
Gorgeous rose.
