One of the best stories to come out of the Spengler Cup. Glad they'll be running it back the next two years. Interested to see where the makeup of the team goes.
MAKE THE FINAL!! An icon up there in Canada and really an ambassador for curling and the CFL. A retirement well earned.
Props to @mintyjulep.bsky.social for sparking me to look at it: since 01 (when the women's Frozen Four began) here are the schools that had both men's and women's teams make the Frozen Four in the same year
Minnesota: 02, 03, 05, 12, 14, 23
Wisconsin: 06, 26
BC: 07, 12, 16
Ohio State: 18
Duluth: 21
I think they're only referring to doing it in this year's tourney, but it makes me wonder how many times both programs reached the Frozen Four in the same year.
(My point-out was that it isn't hard to be the only team this year when the other three don't support women's hockey at the NCAA level)

Graphic from the University of Wisconsin: "America's College Hockey Capital. Wisconsin in the only school to make the men's and women's hockey Frozen Four"
Interesting graphic from University of Wisconsin. They're the only one because, of the Frozen Four teams, they are the only school to have both men's and women's hockey at a NCAA level.
North Dakota dropped their program in 2017 and Michigan and Denver have women's D1 ACHA programs.
This sucks. Ronnie B is one of the funniest people and superb interviewers I've listened to.
Here's hoping for a big Mr. B turnaround.
In other news, the Oakville, Ontario Boston Pizza has a new manager.
And all due respect to Fred Durst-- I don't need any team hat in a color other than the actual team colors. Fuck a red Orioles hat, give me what they have on the field for fuck's sake.
Multiple MLB team hats with Simpsons' montages on the side of the hat and in the main design.
MillenialBoomer opinion-- there's too many hat varieties. Like, I don't get the reason for a template Simpsons' hat with all the MLB teams. Especially at those price points
As someone with a media property that was banned by the NHL for whatever reason-- I feel for them.

They've been doing this for a little while now. It's a great entrance.
Maryland's Lacey Eden becomes the first player in NCAA women's hockey to win four National Championships.
She finishes her college career with 108 goals and 140 assists in 181 games.
Lacey Eden carrying the Maryland hockey torch in her last season. Looking forward to seeing what's next from her.

Looking for jobs. Can't put "Types well with one hand" on a resumé without it being considered dirty. I'll attach this picture to show it's not (always) filthy.
Timehop Post from 11 years ago: "Looks like I've found a new bit for the podcast, which could become a podcast within itself-- Scotty reads hockey-erotica novels. Now, the decision becomes whether to download the book or get the physical copy in the bookstore...."
It's been 11 years since I debuted the "Scotty Reads Hockey Erotica" on the podcast I do. Trailblazers we were.
This was Roller Hockey International and not Pro Beach Hockey.
Pro Beach Hockey had ramps behind the net. Do your research, gang.
I worked in a hospital that didn't really take it seriously because it took so long for numbers to go up in North Dakota.
I think in April into May they started to really take precautions and we had to start resterilizing N95 masks due to supply chain issues with them.
A lovely looking feline. "The more rotund, the more they've been loved," someone has said at some point in history, I'm sure.
I could see how you'd get that confused, especially a rotund boy like he is.
