I have a medical condition that won't kill me but does impact my quality of life. Medication helps, but the main advice is, "eat more protein, sleep 8+ hrs a night and reduce your stress."

Only women have this condition. Do you know how hard it is for most women to follow this advice? 🫠 #killmenow

My kids had a spirit day at school.

Kid 1: It was awesome, we did potato sack races, three-legged races, played music and did some fun dances!

Kid 2: For those reasons, I hated it.

Nothing makes me feel more useless than when my teenage daughter asks for help with her math homework.

It's been 25 years since I took math and the only thing I retained was how to calculate percentages. Beyond that? GODSPEED, MY CHILD. I know nothing. #parenting #math #socialsciencesmajor

Things that would fix me:

- a long train ride + books
- a loud concert (in good seats)
- homemade soup + a soft blanket
- several hours in a public library
- an inheritance but no one dies
- spring weather
- a nice swim in a lake (not cold)
- all the billionaires are shot into the sun
- iced coffee

I JUST REALIZED THAT RFK QUOTE IS REAL. My god. I know these people are bad but when I saw "I used to snort cocaine off a toilet seat" I assumed it was a) parody and b) secretly true. But saying it aloud? In public?? AR WORK??? Bananas. #germs #murica #howisthisreallife

Looking at all of the AI slop creeping into my feeds/life, I genuinely can't believe this is a thing people use by choice and are excited about. Feeling particularly discouraged today. Are we doomed? #fuckAI #bringbackcriticalthinking #please #boycottChatGPT

“FIVE YEAR OLD CLIENT STUCK IN AN IMMIGRATION PRISON”

Every single day I read the news, turn to my husband and yell, "How is this real life?!?" before taking a breath and trying to do my job effectively so we can continue to pay our mortgage even though the entire world is on a crash course with hell 🤷‍♀️

They still blow my mind, honestly. Remember Gushers? I hated them but they remain embedded in my psyche.

My kid considers himself an instant noodle connaisseur but doesn't know a damn thing about frozen breakfast or '90s snack foods. For shame!

We have a waffle maker at home so I've never bought Eggos, but like, I assumed he knew they were real? I've never bought Pop Tarts but he knew what those were (maybe because kids bring them to school). What else doesn't he know??? Do I have to explain Dunkaroos?!

My 13yo son, a child who rarely enters a grocery store, came with me to run an errand today. In the freezer aisle he gasped and went, "wait, Eggo waffles are REAL? I thought they were made up for Stranger Things!"

So anyway they know a lot of stuff but also they don't know some really basic stuff.

Pro: my kids do their own laundry
Con: this

5 months ago 2 0 0 0

Overheard my kids laughing hysterically in the living room. Smiled to myself, then realized the 'funny thing' was my son accidentally running a crayon through the dryer for the second time. ("That's sooooo bad," my daughter squealed as they examined a clump of melted wax.) 🤦‍♀️ #parenting #motherhood

What I've gathered: Starbucks released a small number of holiday cups that look like the plastic bears honey used to come in, and they are somehow very desirable (??) so people are mad about not getting one?? Because really, what else is there to be mad about/channel your energy into??
