There WAS a Fantasia 2006 in active development between 02 and 04. It would have featured music pieces from all around the world, as well as more contemporary lyrical pieces. It got canned once Eisner left and the Florida branch of WDAS was shut down.

Meanwhile, after Clash's scandal, the Henson kids were very quick to work with him again, and that always struck me as.....very odd. Disney has notably not worked with Clash once since that scandal. The whole situation there has always given me strange vibes on all sides.

I think the tipping point for him was the fact that they finally recast Rizzo and Bean for the new Muppet Show this year, which were characters that he created. I think it must have sunk in for him then that he ain't coming back ever, so he probably figured he had nothing left to lose at that point.

The rumor is he got fired cause he legit tried to blacklist several puppeteers from the industry after he found out they auditioned to be Kermit understudies without his approval. I do not hold a ton of sympathy for him, even if I did agree with his points against the 2015 sitcom.

Nimoy REALLY wanted Kruge to be Edward James Olmos, and auditioned him for it like, 3 separate times, but he couldn't convince Harve Bennett and the other Paramount execs cause they all thought he was too short. Christopher Lloyd is 6 foot 1, so that was probably why he got picked.
