And they said Iran was full of religious lunatics.

So the question that the press needs to be asking here is “who are you talking to in Iran, considering the only authority figure you didn’t already kill, is saying it’s not him.”

Reminder that Lee wasn't the best Virginian general. By almost any metric it was Union General George H Thomas.

R E Lee was the ONLY Virginian Colonel to turn traitor and fight for the Confederacy.

Jesus god if I see one more person talk about how MAGA supporters are becoming disillusioned with Trump without mentioning that literal Neo-Nazis have already worked to radicalize them into the fold and to see Trump as a moderate I’m going to lose my mind.

"MWM has identified 5 charities either sending money to the IDF or to parties associated with illegal #WestBank settlements in Occupied Palestine."

The Albanese govt's failure to stop this is in sync with their disregard for international law - when Israel or the US are the perpetrators. #auspol

Probably one of the greatest Good Job Angus Well Done moments was when in 2020 as energy minister he made the decision to store Australia’s Strategic Petroleum Reserve in salt caves in Texas and Louisiana.

Angus Taylor is truly our nation’s obvious next Prime Minister. Cannot wait.

Exactly so. When people's politics are vile, dishonest, cruel and lacking in empathy, it's hardly a surprise when their personal lives are too.

How about a kill switch?

The thing that drives me craziest about AI is this weird illusion that it will somehow allow you to cheat death. That you can still actually speak to a loved one or that somehow you yourself will be able to live on.

We could maybe use some more reverence for the one universal human experience.

The private sector is always more efficient than the public sector...

Umm, near 20% of the world's most populous country go on strike and barely a word about it in the press?

I took a screenshot of this post last week which predicted layoffs at Atlassian including that it would be spun as AI driven layoffs.

Essentially a lot of software companies now have to pay the price for COVID overhiring and AI is a great justification. Block led the way but they won’t be the last

Again, the unifying 🧵 about Trump’s foreign policy is not realism or neo-royalism. It’s the extension of sexual assault/predation/partner abuse to IR. If he thinks you’re his macho pal, he’ll respect you/your sovereignty. If not, he’ll try to violate you & humiliate you. Epstein-ism, if you like.

🧵 This has to be the funniest Brexit moment yet.

The Brexit-loving brigade spluttering into their cornflakes as they discover The Telegraph has been sold to a German media company.

The irony is spectacular.

Seriously more concerned about vexatious relatives and visitors wearing these in patient-care areas.

Folks in health care: DO NOT FUCKING WEAR THESE-**ESPECIALLY** IN PATIENT CARE AREAS!

If I ever catch a colleague wearing these, I am reporting them to management, the state, whatever press outlets I can, and to the patient & their family.

I do not care who it pisses off. Just fucking DO NOT.

A fairly stupendous amount of what I'd certainly call 'western history' is the slow, agonizing lesson about how church and state are better separated.
