Remember when Google's company policy was "Don't be evil"? Good times.
Anyway, no studio should use generative AI, and this google exec should [redact] themself.

Will this feature ai generated content in it's development, like Donutal does?

Meanwhile, ICE is murdering people. Straight up dead. No threats involved.
To the surprise of no-one, and the despise of everyone.
It's time to fucking stop.gif
Not sure what brought this about (a zine for Greco-Roman Digimon in particular? What a niche!) but it's neat to see.
Various complaints about Kingdom Hearts 1 aside, I always found Destiny Islands super comfy.
People love hyperbole, but man... anyone calling this "the single worst performance I have ever heard in an anime" feels like such a sign of how far the industry has progressed since "199X".
My sweet summer children, this is the worst you've heard? Darling friends, you don't even know.
Gonna be really pissed if any world super-power decides to stage an attack on the Artemis II during re-entry, just so said super-power can blame it on another country they started a war with, in an attempt to goad people into supporting their illegal war. Naming no names.
Here is the tune played three times through, and this is all I've got. The house was demolished years ago, and if the music box survived, it was moved or given to unknown recipients. It's gone.
Here's some #lostmedia:
Deep in my grandmother's house was a spare bedroom, and in this room was a small waterwheel #musicbox. I don't know where it or its tune came from, but it always struck me as haunting, so one visit I recorded it.
The house and box are both lost now, but here's the tune.
An image of convicted nazi felon Julius Streicher with added note: "At Nuremberg, Julius Streicher was not convicted of having committed or participated in any crimes or acts of violence himself, but was convicted on the grounds that as a journalist, his many speeches and articles supporting and excusing violence made him and accessory. He hanged."
A screenshot of a portion of the wikipedia entry on Julius Streicher. It reads: "Most of the evidence against Streicher came from his numerous speeches and articles over the years.[72] In essence, prosecutors contended that Streicher's articles and speeches were so incendiary that he was an accessory to murder, and therefore as culpable as those who actually ordered the mass extermination of Jews. They further argued that he kept up his antisemitic propaganda even after he was aware that Jews were being slaughtered.[73] Streicher was acquitted of crimes against peace, but found guilty of crimes against humanity, and sentenced to death on 1 October 1946."
A screenshot of another portion of the wikipedia entry on Julius Streicher. It reads: "For his 25 years of speaking, writing and preaching hatred of the Jews, Streicher was widely known as "Jew-Baiter Number One." In his speeches and articles, week after week, month after month, he infected the German mind with the virus of anti-Semitism, and incited the German people to active persecution. [...] Streicher's incitement to murder and extermination at the time when Jews in the East were being killed under horrible conditions clearly constitutes persecution on political and racial grounds in connection with war crimes, as defined by the Charter, and constitutes a crime against humanity."
Friendly reminder: the Hague is still open to you, even if you are "just" an influencer.

I was busy with other things.
The "Prince" character and Elika from Prince of Persia 2008 gaze at a crescent moon inbetween Persian towers.
The "Prince" and Elika from Prince of Persia 2008 look at the destroyed main temple - a giant tree with temple complex built inside it, but where they look up and should see green leaves, only black clouds and tendrils of corruption fill the sky.
The "prince" notices a small bit of artwork in one of the towers - a painting of the crescent moon between the Persia towers. On the left and right side are two windows with intricate lattice.
I've been replaying Prince of Persia 2008, and it holds up so well. I love the aesthetic and all the small details, and even the gameplay holds up under scrutiny.
It was under-rated and under-appreciated on launch (because it was so different from the hit Ps2 trilogy), but it deserved better.
If you're gonna use gen ai to make a game and sell it to me for full price (same as if it was all made by actual people), then you should be OK with me using gen ai to render a stack of cash and using THAT to pay for your game, same as if it were actual money.
Oh, you're not OK with that? Why not?
Not gonna buy this excuse.
Not gonna buy their game, either, now.
When you have the fetish I have, you tend to like humanity and want to see it continue and flourish - but this does not (and indeed CANNOT) happen in a climate of fear, isolation, and hopelessness -- the climate that dictators, tyrants, and fascists strive to instill.
If it's a fair and legitimate practice for corporations to use GenerativeAI to make a game, box it, and sell it to me for the same price as one made by humans, it should be JUST as fair and legitimate for me to use GenAI to make a render of money, print it, and use it to buy the game.
Why isn't it?
Politicians, soldiers, and citizens must remember that "serving your country" INCLUDES stopping it from making terrible, terrible mistakes - whatever it takes.
A worthwhile thread about one of the few members of the US military I've ever respected - the others being the servicemen who took part in Operation Frequent Wind (aka the evacuation of Saigon), who decided that human lives were more important than millions of dollars of Navy helicopters.
KOS-MOS from Xenosaga in the iconic scene where she dual wields two gatling guns.
Mauga from Overwatch 2: The Sequel in his iconic pose where he dual wields two gatling guns.
The #Overwatch crossover with Nier and 2B is cool and all, but they can do better; give me a crossover with Xenoblade Chronicles.
Not because both series feature humans vs. robots as a plot point, but because I DESPERATELY want to see Mauga get a KOS-MOS skin.
Good to know, though I'm sad it the remastered doesn't provide the one bit of content I've wanted since the original release: a version of Velvet's default outfit that ISN'T ripped to shreds. :C
"You always have a choice in #Firefox... now. Now that enough people called us out on our AI powered bullshit. Which (for the record) we still will not stop, and will still pretend is an "enhancement" to your browsing."
Gemini is looking pretty good in this artwork, but I am kinda sad there's no one from the PS4 game's cast.
Is Microsoft still supporting genocide? Yes? Then hard pass; let it die.
Does this one use #GenerativeAI too?
Maybe we'll meet again if you stop jacking off with Generative AI, but I doubt it.
I wouldn't say that #Highguard "functionally does not work." I only have 3.5 hours in it, but from what I played... it seems to know what it's doing, and it's decently fun.
Not "lightning in a bottle" but not like, a waste of my (limited) gaming time.
Huh. Well... That's, uh... that's something.
