825,000+ people had no representation for a year - NONE - because Rep Turner thought natural aging did not apply to him. And I liked Turner but he should have passed the torch. Sheila Jackson Lee too.

When a Dem Rep dies in Texas the seat stays unfilled for a year because out Gov won’t call the special. This would be TX-18 in Houston where Sylvester Turner died of cancer in March 2025 after being re-elected in Nov 2024. This seat has over 825,000 constituents without representation for a year.

I was called a “groomer” multiple times - publicly - at local school board meetings and in blogs for speaking out against book bans. And my LGBTQ son got to hear this too since he also spoke at these meetings and spoke in front of the Texas House during “parental rights” hearings. Not a competition

The scientific process of aging doesn’t stop for politicians. I’m in Texas with hate laws stricter than federal and am worried about our D politicians dying or having major medical or mental declines in office which statistically is very likely at that age. And this would directly impact my kids.

It’s the love of power and also hubris. But it’s not just her, all politicians inherently have those personality traits - they kind of have to want to run for office and stay elected. Inherently thinking you know more and can do better - even if the reasons are altruistic. Power is addictive.

💯. The party pulled a Weekend At Bernie’s for Diane Feinstein for years - that shit is embarrassing and shows the quest for power overrides all. I want my children and their peers to be our future leaders because it’s their damn future they have to live in, not mine!

I agree theoretically but I’m not a staunch Dem anymore because the Party has and will throw my LGBTQ kiddo under the bus for votes. Politicians are a different breed of people, even the ones I may like, and I never use them as a role model. Not anymore.

💯. GenX coder here and our company just implemented Claude. I asked it to change an Oracle block to use dynamic bind variables in execute immediate stmts - I know what I want it to do technically, just not how to write that specific code - very helpful. And Claude really does likes to refactor 😐.
