i feel like a large part of being a skilled illustrator is picking something you're freakishly obsessed with drawing right and just letting that guide you. a lot of people really really love drawing shoes and dresses
LESS THAN $2000 away from the finish line!
We're almost home clear, thanks to everyone who's given us their time and care.
We can close out #Arisan's campaign today, especially if you all share wherever you can. Together we can make this happen.

just sick and tired of random posts going viral and people making moral judgements because a PORN ARTIST made a character look sexualized. every time its the same routine and every time some guy gets bullied to hell for doing what hes done for years

very true, thats what i mean when i say something is 'slop', people think slop has to be low quality but slop is based more on intention and attitude than pure 'quality'. like how a multi million dollar movie can be slop, so can superbly rendered AI illustrations
the role of 'technology' is to make our lives easier. but anyone who's played a difficult game knows that making things 'easier' is not always the best thing.
it's within this capitalist system that most artists have to survive. i have no doubt MOST artists would prefer a system where they don't have to worry about survival and can just draw what they want. so the idea of changing the entire field of art simply to be more capitalist feels damaging
trying to defend the sanctity of art as something 'soulful', core to being alive doesn't suit our capitalist system very well where everything has to have value in terms of making someone money or influence in some way. the simple pleasure of being alive and creating something yourself isn't enough.
the thing about people who defend ai art is that its hard to explain exactly what is 'sacred' about art that's worth defending. we're approaching it from entirely different angles, them from a 'product' standpoint, while I care more of the personal experience standpoint; hard work is its own reward.
If we reach at least one person, it's a day well spent.
