The Wetland Project has been my favorite alternate-reality radio experience since it began. Since it only happens once a year, you can’t become accustomed to it. Close your eyes and be washed over by the sonic reality of an isolated bog on Saturna Island!

Are you attending WLPC PHX 2026? Taking a bootcamp and unsure what to do in the evening after? Arriving early? We’re thrilled to announce that the WLAN Pi team will be hosting our first open-door, in-person development sprint during the days leading up to the conf (Sat - Mon, February 14 - 16).

We’ve got one that loves rings too. His favorite game is to drop them down off a ledge on the stairs then chase. I have seriously considered buying a supply commercially but don’t want 1000 rings 😂

Fired up some Type O Negative today to get more in to the spooky season and decided to read the artist bio. Always love seeing an unexpected @hollywoodsteve.bsky.social write up!

I know I'm beating a dead horse but it's wild how quickly the internet became unusable for finding technical knowledge

Great! I’ll keep my eyes open and if you can remember that some random guy on the internet asked feel free to nudge me when you know. 😁

Hey Stephen, do you have any idea if you’ll be running another one of these later in the year? I unfortunately can’t commit to the current timeline but would be interested if it comes back around.

Becoming a proficient #Python dev isn’t just about syntax, it’s about building usable apps with clean, testable, well-structured code.

That’s what we coach in our 6-week cohort starting next month.

Real apps. Real feedback. Real growth. 💪

@jefflemire171.bsky.social nice work with the Bone Orchard books. I finally got around to reading them but made the unwise decision to do it right before bed. 🫣

Trans Athletes: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)
Trans Athletes: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO) YouTube video by LastWeekTonight

John Oliver's new segment on trans people in sports is pretty good. On content I give it like 7 or 8 out of 10, but you should def go watch it. It's so surreal seeing a high production quality media team actually do some research and treating trans people as human

I was there yesterday too! Did you also hop over to JoAnn for any closeout deals? Pretty bare in there but still lots of fabric.

Ooh, this hits something I’ve been curious about. I assume you consider the version of Lock In narrated by Amber to be a separate work than the one narrated by Wil? How does the two narrator thing happen anyway? I’d love a longer form “this is how that went down” someday.

They’re playing in Chicago in May. I will be there hoping for some old classics such as this.

I’m curious, is anyone using a cross poster that covers here, mastodon, and perhaps even twitter?

Related… If anyone wants to buy internetofhorns.com hit me up 😂. The one I really should have kept was pisslikearace.horse as nothing was more fun than seeing alert message emails come in from that domain

I think hitting the starter packs hard was a mistake. My timeline is now awash with tons of posts from people that I don’t recall why I followed them. I followed them for a reason but people are more complex than a single topic they are associated with. Except cat pics, those are always welcome.
