Has family voting not always been part of voting? Unlikely to be so prevalent now, but how many people have voted for a party, because that’s who their family has always voted for? Going by attendances at his “shows”, there’s a big elderly vote, that won’t be able to convince families to change.

I didn’t say it did, the point I was making was politicians hide behind coercion, when I doubt the population would even think about coercing people into assisted dying.

I take is as a personal insult that politicians think I’d try to coerce family members to choose assisted dying for no reason, but if end of life care will trap someone into unbearable pain, why would I want that?

Concern over safeguards for the vulnerable, is basically saying MSPs think that Scots are desperate to kill off family members. I don’t believe we are.

End of life care is great if you’re not in pain, if you are, denying assisted dying is like passing a prison sentence on them.

I live in Scotland with MS & I’m not relieved, I’m disgusted.
