The follow-up question is, can I also hook up the fan speed controller at the light switch, or do I have to control it from the chain? I'm not familiar enough with how AC capacitors work to know whether or not that'll put more stress on it than I want.

Part of the reason this is so confusing is because every wiring diagram I'm looking at has a capacitor with 3 wires on one side and 2 wires on the other. But the one I'm replacing has 3 wires on one side and only 1 wire on the other. I know the way I have it wired SHOULD still make sense but fuck me

99% chance I blow up the second capacitor I swear this makes ZERO sense

I genuinely have NO clue. The way the capacitor gets wired makes zero sense to me, even when following a diagram. I genuinely cannot fathom how the switch on the housing is supposed to reverse the fan either?? And also HOW is this supposed to work with both the chain AND a speed controller switch

okay nothing happened besides some temporary relief but that was still interesting. Probably need something colder like supercooled water or an ice cream bar to test it properly.

Recently noticed that my migraines feel exactly the same as brain freezes (just in the opposite eye) so I'm about to try chugging a glass of ice water really fast to see if that resets the nerves and makes the migraine go away. Will report back with results.
