It's not spooky season yet, but here we are.

A young woman shown four times, in four different situations. In all cases she's presented as slim and short, but very muscular. She has medium length, wavy hair pulled to the back of he head by a headband. 1. Standing at a counter, talking to someone off-screen. She's wearing sandals, pants and a shirt on top of a crop top. She has a large bag with a floral motif. 2. Aiming at the viewer with the crossbow. She's wearing cargo pants, combat boots, a crop top under an open vest, a scarf on her left wrist and a backback. She's aiming at the viewer with a crossbow. 3. Kneeling next to what seems like a wooden version of a small power generator. The backpack and the vest are lying next to the machine. The woman is holding a french key and instinctivly swiping sweat pff her forehead, which is probably counter-productive, because her hands are dirty. 4. Siting casually in an armchair, wearing only a short night gown, slippers, and also a pair of reading glasses, because she's reading a book.
For every (future) comment that says my pet project is too woke, me and my team are going to make it even wokier.

A young woman with wavy hair reaching the base of her neck, held at the back by a band of fabric. She has a full, rounded face but is otherwise slim and athletic, with noticeably muscular arms. She has a heavy backpack with some construction tools sticking out. She's gazing angrily at the viewer, aiming at them with a light lever action crossbow (though you can't notice the details of the mechanism in this picture). She's wearing a cropped tank-top, cargo pants, combat boots, and a yellow checked vest made of light fabric, with multiple patches marking past repairs. Her legs, but not torso or head, are protected by armour. At her side, attached to her belt, is a quiver of crossbow bolts and a cudgel.
The idea for this character (drawn by @littlekato.bsky.social) is that she's has a tough side and a soft side, but she's mainly tired with all the BS going on around her and rapidly running out of patience for it. Lately she hasn't had the time to complete a 1000-pieces jigsaw puzzle.
Three young men with a palpable boy scout vibe, wearing each slightly different clothes with a shared element: a short blue apron with a fictional post office logo on it. One of them looks like he's on a field trip. Another has a post-apocalyptic wooden bicycle and a crossbow. The third one looks has rogue-ish equipment such as a leather armour, a simple metal helmet, and a primitive pistol. They're all carrying numerous sacks and backpacks. The rogue doesn't have a backpack but is holding a small parcel in his hand.
This picture follows the same pattern as the first one, except there are three women. The rogue-ish person's armour looks a bit different from the man's variant in that it resembles a thick vest, but still provides comparable protection.
In my side project, a post-apocalyptic CEE city around the year 2700 still has a post service that doesn't involve putting your packages in branded lockers. Timely deliveries with a smile... and a crossbow to back it up.

Not gonna lie, I'm a bit thrilled about this prototype I'm working on, and to be clear, it's never going to find a publisher, because it's a) a nostalgia trip, b) leftist AF, but still, I'm working on something just for the fun of it.
