More than happy to be redirected to a link to of which this already exists and I just need to google better (I did try)
Any chance that a nearly useful to those without a spare $600-$900 rollin' around verion of this article might ever get published which goes over actually how to implement the key parts like signing requests? developer.apple.com/documentatio...
@jensimmons.bsky.social howdy! Just wondering if you get much of a chance to speak with the developers working on the Digital Credentials API. I am trying to darn'dest to understand it but the technical docs reference iso standards that cost well above my side project budget.
I loved the breakdown of card sleeves he made a few years ago, a
similar format would work well most likely.
Would love a video on bargain bin aliexpress card sleeves and maybe a comparison of know legitimate card sleeves vs the 1/3 price Chinese express!! It’s actually horrible I can order aliexpress and have it at my door as fast if not faster than from online resellers in Australia of legit resellers…
As sombody not living in USA the cost of sleeves can get pretty bad, I have recently turned to Dragonshield on aliexpress which have been pretty good but I’m finding they don’t quite feel the same after a few months so I think maybe they’re fraudulent.
@tolariancommunitycollege.com Not too sure if this is a good place or not to submit a
suggestion for a video so please forgive me if it’s not.
Don’t know if you can fix easily, but ad read at 32 min is blank, just some cheerful banjo at 20% volume
@theaifix.show that turbo button on old machines actually enabled a slower mode to help better support older software which didn’t work properly at the new CPU’s faster speeds!
@troyhunt.com it appears that the password to the Louvre’s video surveillance was Louvre. Too bad they don’t check first they would have known that their password was already exposed!
@theaifix.show I will admit I’m yet to watch today’s episode (will delete this if turns out you did!) but for the love of god this weird interaction with seahorses is funny as hell, I love that it happens each time too (well till they fix it)
@theaifix.show i haven’t worked with a junior in about 4 years, i really do wonder what it is like for them right now.
If we do abandon the juniors I wonder if in 10-15 years time we start to have SME’s take up the AI coding tools and take on programming responsibilities!
@richcampbell.bsky.social arrived all the way in Australia without a single chip!
You could design up a custom bin grabber that clicks into small tabs on the bins so you can lift bins out with ease… would be a fun cad project
Depending on the contents of the draw a neat hack is to modify a bin to have cutouts to allow fingers to easily scoop into the bin, requires a bit more planning on how your setting up your draw but depending on the contents can allow for much more compact + deep bins
God the new air UI or whatever this jank is so horrid… why on earth would I want a giant blurry bubble around all of my media controls… everything is just larger with heaps of dead space.
iOS 17.0.0 is just going to be a system wide margin: 2px !important
I don’t have any right to tell you how to make your show, just wanted to remind you that you have reach and what you say matters somewhat.
There are still heaps of opportunities for motivated talented juniors so hopefully we don’t scare them all off.
Thanks again for the show.
@theaifix.show thanks for the great episodes! Some feedback *insert robot FEEDBACK clip from show* the jokes on ai taking coders jobs may roll off my back like water off a ducks, but there are likely some really stressed juniors out there and at that age stuff like this is likely really distressing.
@dddmelbourne.bsky.social Book of Mormon showing in Melbourne and not Perth… comes out right before DDD Melb…
So Hot Right Now Meme about AI talks
@smashingsecurity.com listening to the backlog, your 2018 ish episode “Talking Bitcoin and Blockchain” if listeners invested $1,000 USD back then they would have about $9,000 to $11,000 now!
The file without leaking the private key to your ISP or even themselves. Basically client side encryption with client side decryption with one click and no leaked info
@chriscoyier.net @davatron5000.bsky.social don’t remember which one asked about hash’s in the URL but not server it’s just a part of the spec. wormhole.app uses this quirk to allow users to create a shareable link that gives the clicker access to the private key that was used to encrypt (cont)
@troyhunt.com great video/devastating hack by Simon Dean on how he was robbed of $500 via a gift card scam, he turns around finds the way how the hackers used an un rate limited endpoint to burtforce pins and after a month only now got a reply after making the video youtu.be/oBarXDL23hs?...
Example real world usage of this vulnerability is you find a CSRF/XSS bug on target website, craft up a URL that will execute a password stealer payload, trick user into click action on dom element and harvest the password.
I feel like once you have a CSRF/XSS your already pwnd
Security this week ran by @carlfranklin.bsky.social and team ran this story too I believe and it sounded allot like a nothing burger? podcasts.apple.com/au/podcast/s...
@smashingsecurity.com with the latest episode discussing password manager autofill stealers: correct me if I’m wrong but this is only an issue if the targeted site has a CSRF voln that allows js injection as all data inside the iframe is restricted as only same origins can peak into iframe dom?
