Yeah the pole/bollard standoffs not present makes me think they aren’t planned but I emailed the projects engineer to ask if there’s anything planned just in case.
It’s crazy considering that exact spot was featured in the news not long ago, car parked there blocked a bus for 15 mins.
Some sections are still exposed, so hope there's more to come.
Contraflow lane upgrade (South Main St, Cork)
There's raised surface and bollards will help with the previous illegal parking but I'm hoping more are added before the project is completed.

Many councillors have tried to no avail it’s really disappointing.
This is fantastic
no problem for any of my photos/vids whenever you need.
Ebikes.
Solar panel installed 👀
Also nice to see the Gardai on their bikes in the back.
Do you folks know who I would contact about the camper vans housing the Funderland staff? I witnessed them dump wastewater in the river along the site.

Oops, yes sorry.
Not a great look that there’s so many cases they can be confused
The Marina in Cork is close to completion as a fabulous new and HUGE amenity - Cork City Council have done an amazing job with this (tiny bit of it here)
The greenway has signage for this but the promenade doesn’t, gets messy with bikes I hope they erect some.
Feels like we’re playing Whac-A-Mole with these bollards. A permanent solution is needed.
The same people complain about “being stuck” behind cyclists.
Do they not understand this segregation will benefit their impatience, tis… MADNESS.
Bike manufacturers making proprietary parts that can only obtained and installed by registered dealers is becoming too common.
Right to repair legislation should cover these issues.
Have seen road markings remain missing months and even years after Irish water works, the speed of reinstatements is unacceptably slow.
Previously painted bike and bus lanes have turned into car parking as a result.
Really needs to be addressed, even temporarily markings as an interim solution.
Works due to begin on new Glanmire greenway
Welcoming the news, Green Party councillor for Cork City North East, Oliver Moran, said: “Over the past few years, there have been works all across Glanmire to improve road safety & make active travel easier."
Glad I stayed out of the door-zone 😃
Waving traffic onto the cycle lane while on your phone 🤦♂️
