I think perhaps we have different concepts of "influenced". They undeniably made huge changes to how people conceive of pop music, but unless I'm missing something (and maybe I am) the *sound* of pop music has moved far away.

Indirectly yes, but many, many other influences also are in the pop ethos at this point, and it seems like the number of pop artists who sound even passingly like The Beatles is vastly dwarfed by the number who give them obligatory lip service to not get yelled at
