I laid out what the current state-of-the-art is with generative AI and how non-engineers are using it to build applications, talked about which moats are no longer defensible (features anyone?) and which moats are still viable (like building in regulated environments).

We will continue this trend in 2025 as we expand our Enterprise DNS offerings, investigate how generative AI fits into the DNSimple experience, and enhance our infrastructure around the globe.
In 2024 we released a lot of features and improvements (summarized in our round-up posts: blog.dnsimple.com/2024/04/spri..., blog.dnsimple.com/2024/08/summ..., blog.dnsimple.com/2024/11/fall...).
This year we will be celebrating 15 years of business at DNSimple. While the Internet looks quite different today than it did when we started, domain names and DNS remain a core part of its operational infrastructure.
And these things are good for anyone new to a system regardless if they work remotely or otherwise.
Pairing is extremely useful. Knowledge sharing from seniors to juniors through constructive PR reviews can help too. Short videos about why tech decisions are taken. And finally lots of hands on with the guardrails of test coverage.
Walked the expo floor here at re:Invent during a "quiet time".
Currently listening to the CEO keynote in the overflow room at re:Invent. So far lots of announcements around compute power for training gen AI systems.
Yeah I feel this often about my success with DNSimple. I think it's a lot more luck than skill for me. 🤣
Heading to Las Vegas today for my first ever AWS re:Invent. Given our integration with Route53 in our Domain Control Plane at DNSimple and our own use of various AWS services, I figured it was about time.
