This is a very good book. I stumbled onto James McBride's "Heaven and Earth Grocery Store" and fell in love with his writing and the amazing narration by Dominic Hoffman.

(2/2) Instead we tell them they are lazy, unmotivated, incapable or broken in so many other ways. The traditional path to success that we take for granted is and has been blown apart for years. They are unmotivated to play the game we are selling. Time to change the game.....

OR maybe the story we've been telling and the aspirations WE hold and imposed are NOT the same for this generation. I've found that, deep down, the young people I work with have dreams but they need opportunities and structures to explore and discover their strengths. (1/2)
