I'm sure you've thought a lot about the 1" increase in self-reported heights in the US. Do you know about the methodology for each of the researcher-measured heights between EU and US reports? My initial thought was people most likely measure themselves with shoes on without thinking about it.
I feel like there's a bon mot in there about it being virtually certain that physicists working on hidden variable QM theories will be doing the exact same thing in 30 years.

Fascism works on the fear and silent "consent" of the governed. i.e. we should mostly disconnect from things that aren't helpful to us and focus on limited areas where being non-compliant or actively resisting will matter.
It reiterates what we learned previously - that electoral politics is a distraction if the Dems would rather lose than adopt progressive policies.
The "push back" is on us now. We should learn from 2016 not to fall prey to the media's controversy, shock, apathy cycle.
