Kingdom: Ashin of the North will tie into the ending of S2.
After seeing the film I was really looking forward to a Bae Doona / Jun Ji Hyun conflict and / or team up in S3 but sadly that appears to be no longer possible. There were also plans for a film called Kingdom: Crown Prince about Lee Chang.
