Rosario, they not only have a seat at the table, but they determined the table's framework and codes of entry. The USA was always highly class and race straffied, although many deny it. The oligarchy's only opposition was a well organized political backlash from the working and lower middle classes.
I agree, but they're not all the same.We lose out by stereotyping people. At one time I worked in fundraising for nonprofits. I interacted with rich people, I also did so when I worked as a prostitute. It's best to win people over.Many wealthy people are on our side. Why not reach out?
Rosario, I'm a low income senior who lives on the edge of San Francisco's Tenderloin. I am certainly not against the richest among us paying more in taxes, but needlessly hating and alienating them won't help anything. They are people who live among us and they should be approached as such.

Good luck with that. Of course there is no guarenatee that what follows is any better. I prefer that Americans pay more attention to the matters at hand and become more involved in their government. That's the true democratic way forward.
No Rosario, golden gooses are not myths. Some people hold unusual talents that can benefit many if not most of us. We must not use their excesses to shut down the entire pipeline of wealth, much of which is financing our state! See beyond your principles to the political reality!! Both can live.
I agree with your principles Rosario, but how to do that in a state which is in competition for business with other states, namely Texas and Florida, is a major concern.
If that happens Rosario, the rest of us pay as well. More people will lose their jobs for one thing.
