These men learn that affirming their children's gender invites them to reevaluate their own masculinity. Protecting their children means not only opposing harmful laws but also confronting the violent masculinity and gender roles they once upheld.

Draconian abortion bans result in preventable deaths and pregnancy-related arrests. When the law can't comprehend pregnancy's uncertainties, it resorts to blame. These prosecutions are not justice; rather, they reflect a denial that certain facets of the human experience are beyond our control.
Miscarriage affects up to one in four pregnancies—it's common. With Roe v. Wade overturned, new laws increasingly target and criminalize women for pregnancy loss. These prosecutions rest on the false notion that fertilized eggs, embryos, and fetuses are equivalent to people.
