Respect to this fella, Calum Gilligan. He opened the evening concert last night at Kimpton Folk Fest and blew everyone away with his beautiful voice. He’s decided to stop touring for the time being and shift career paths. But I’m sure you’ll hear him again somewhere! #folksinger #liverpool

Teaching is underpaid generally, but for clarity may I point out that many weekend workshops pay artists more than £250 for a weekend, and the vast majority of professional musicians do not earn £1K per gig, John! I guess it comes down to how much you love it, really.
