A context menu on a GitHub PR comment.
The menu has the following options:
- Copy Markdown
- Quote reply
- Reference in new issue
- Edit
- Hide
- Delete
Not that I think having "Copy Markdown" is a *bad* feature, but did they really have to put it in between the existing options?
I keep hitting it when going to "Quote reply", which is probably my second most-used action (after "Copy link").

I think if you're at the point at which you've added curl to your list of slopware, you've lost touch with what's important in life

There are similar explanation pages for using hoes, rakes, mallets - SO many tools. And this is before you even get into the special abilities with their own interaction verbs.
I fiercely disagree that this game has no personality. It is a game obsessed with tactile interaction. It's about touching

The more I play of it, the more my read on Crimson Desert as a three-way fusion of Red Dead Redemption, Dragon's Dogma and Skyrim feels correct.
And I'm enjoying it much more than I did Skyrim. The quest structure so far is a bit blah but the exploration and physicality of the world is lovely.

Screenshot of the Github diff viewer, showing a panel that tells me two lines have changed in Cargo.lock. The diff is expanded, with an arrow pointing downwards, but the bottom edge of the panel just shows a double-thickness line (without any of the file contents).
GitHub: "Two lines have changed in Cargo.lock"
Me: "May I see them?"
GitHub: "Absolutely not."

Three panel comic. (SPOILERS for the movie Arrival, but it’s like a decade old at this point so personally I think it’s chill.) Panel 1: the aliens from arrival are communicating in their circle writing language to Amy Adams’ character. Panel 2: Amy Adams is back with the other humans, standing in front of a whiteboard, and frantically trying to explain the meaning of their language, connecting their symbols to words like “WAR”, “HUMAN”, “PURPOSE”, etc. Panel 3: the aliens are hanging out drinking brews and one of them is like, “and then I drew a circle with a bunch of squiggles!” His buddies are cracking up.

The cinematography in The Last Jedi is stellar.
Certainly the best of the entire saga, and definitely up there in films, as a whole.

My most popular Sora video was “elaborate regency romance where everyone is wearing a live duck for a hat (each duck is also wearing a hat), a llama plays a flute, prestige drama”
I am not sure why OpenAI has decided their compute has more valuable uses & is discontinuing Sora. Really a mystery.

Hit 24 hours in Crimson Desert tonight, and I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface of the game.

I definitely feel this as well.
Whenever I do some kind of gameplay programming it always seems so straightforward in my head, but quickly gets gnarly once I’m in it.

Reminds me of this great quote from Patrick McKenzie:
“Does anyone here run a website for sadomasochists? Okay, there are no hands up in the room which means that nobody should have "Submit" as the text on their email button.”

Tonight in Crimson Desert I opened an investment account at the local bank and then almost immediately got audited by the tax collector.
They must have caught wind that my investments were bankrolled with gambling winnings and a gold bar I pilfered.

If I hold up my lamp, they’ll shield their eyes and glare at me.
If I have my sword out, they’ll become cautious and keep their distance.
There’s tons of little micro-interactions like that making things feel more alive.

Seems like an odd criticism.
Yes, the non-consequential NPCs all behave the same, because having unique AI for every person you pass on the road would be nuts.
But I’ve found all the NPCs to have quite a bit of life in them.
