My daughter recently returned from a 2 week uni trip to New York. She was put through a lot of unnecessary stress just
to get into the country. She’s been to the US before but said this time around it was way more intense

As trite as it sounds, just bringing visibility of the existence of people with severe disability in our community is so incredibly important. We refer to the bad old days where people were institutionalised and neglected and abused, yet we teeter on the brink of a similar reality.

From what Labor has offered/shown us so far maybe we should be glad they aren’t wielding their significant power.
Most are still under the illusion Labor will somehow or sometime do the ‘right thing’.
