Apologies for being MIA. I've cut down on social media so I'm barely ever on any of the platforms anymore (all is fine, don't worry!). If you have something and want to come on my show, please send me a message and we'll see if schedules work. I am late on news about releases and stuff. Thank you!

What do you need right now? If the answer is "A dramatic reading by @paulgcornish.bsky.social of legendary Russian novelist Vladimir Nabokov's 1942 poem about Superman's sex life," then you're in luck! youtu.be/kinpu_MDZTc

Also:

The artist is one of the storytellers and is therefore taking part in the "writing" so talk about them when you're talking about a comic.

Mine:

DC and Marvel are niche. The real Big Two are Scholastic and Viz.

The Comics Cube | Patreon The one on YouTube

My comics reviews are now exclusive on Patreon, along with early access to all non-live and non-Filipino videos.
I have taken great steps to reduce my social media usage in the past few months, but my YouTube and Patreon will be active as far as work and life will allow.

Sometimes people ask me what the big deal is about Jack Kirby. And I show them these two covers for the same story. The one on the left is by Gil Kane and Bernard Sachs, 1956. The one on the right is by Nick Cardy, 1973.

The thing that happened in between? Jack Kirby.

It's been long enough that I think I could put the essay on my Patreon, but proceeds for this go to Doctors Without Borders.

It's put together by smoky man, who also put out the 50th-birthday book back in 2003.

It's incredible! One issue he's dealing with domestic abuse, another issue some bumbling fire monster is teaming up with like a caricature of a 1920s gangster.

And also, I love Gangbuster so much.
