Apparently the US sanctions waiver on Russian oil, the one the US said they wouldn't extend a few days ago, just got extended.

It's good that Ukrainian drone sanctions have become effective enough to cut off almost half of Russia's oil export capacity. Those don't have waivers.

One thing about Kash Patel eventually being fired is there’s no way to imagine what his face will look like upon hearing the news.

The Russian government's efforts to isolate the population from the outside world continues ramping up. Not only will VPN's be illegal, but even advertising them or supplying hosting services to them will now be illegal.

A North Korean future awaits the nation of slaves.

crypto and prediction markets are like a sci fi dystopian satire of the worst possible industry lol. "imagine money but every transaction eats a kWh of electricity, and it's exclusively for criminals." or "imagine if every event was a potential assassination bounty"

Am I tired of all this ? You have no idea. What helps me to keep going? Cold rage, mainly. Also the fact that I really , really don’t want Russia to get away with any of this . And also coffee, obviously

Taping up a "stop hallucinating stats" sticky note inside the computer's head and every time it's like "yes sir boss I will stop hallucinating stats" and then it does it again 10 seconds later. Incredible. I'm gonna try Claude too I think.

In his second term, Mr. Trump seems even less restrained and more incoherent at times. He uses more profanity, speaks longer and regularly makes comments rooted in fantasy rather than fact. He keeps saying that his father was born in Germany when in fact he was born in the Bronx. He repeats an invented story about his uncle, an M.I.T. professor, telling him about teaching the terrorist known as the Unabomber.
He wanders off into odd tangents — an eight-minute ramble at a Christmas reception about poisonous snakes in Peru, a long digression during a cabinet meeting about Sharpie pens, an interruption of an Iran war update to praise the White House drapes. He has confused Greenland with Iceland and more than once boasted of ending a fictional war between Cambodia and Azerbaijan, two countries separated by nearly 4,000 miles. (He evidently means Armenia and Azerbaijan).

Today’s russian missile strike on Dnipro killed at least 5 people and wounded 25 more.

Some of them were civilian drivers — targeted inside their cars on purpose.
