Working on some larger pieces lately (larger for me - 16x20's & 12x24's), and getting used to the change in scale. It's taking a bit of time to figure out how to work with it. Encaustic paintings are trickier in large size!
Hoping to get back into the studio this weekend to do some spring painting now that colours are starting to green up outside. I love me some fall and early spring browns but that bright green is uplifting. #encausticpainting #wisconsin #encaustic
Morning art day with a friend is making me follow through with blocking out a few pieces before painting. Super useful & a step I keep skipping because I’m impatient. Excited to see if my next step goes as planned or if I just paint over them in a non-planned way…so many unknowns to look forward to

Had a really lovely time painting this one while hanging out in a zoom meeting/studio time organized by IEA yesterday. Was nice to spend time meeting other encaustic artists, even if it was online, because there aren’t that many nearby! #encausticartist #wanderingwaterstudio #encaustic
