Heh waited so long that someone else started a load (they left a different laundry basket than when I checked first) But the washer is free so gonna put a load in. Nothing else is planned today so I can wait it out. Eventually I need to get cleaned up and hit Star Market.
Three day weekend means Monday I do things I should have done yesterday. Just dusted and vacuumed my room. Waiting for the washer/dryer to be free to finish laundry. (Thankfully I can hear the dryer running from the 3rd floor.)
A mug on a white desk. Text on the mug says running is for everyone. Everyone is stylized in rainbow.
Gentle reminder for myself and everyone else this Marathon Monday. Running is for everyone. From runningexplained on Instagram.
I have the option to pause my MBTA link pass. I should have done that in October for my leg surgery when I wasn't back on the T for a bit. But this time I'll be more ambulatory.
I should definitely pause my gym membership for a billing cycle or two. But I think I'll keep the T pass.
Digital Well-being on my phone settings. A pie chart for 7 hours and 41 minutes of screen time. The biggest chunks are App for a Cause, facebook, instagram. And then my gym app and google itself.
Not gonna be a good day for screen time. I did try reading some. I try for 8 hours or less during the weekdays. Some weekends I hit 10 ๐ซฃ
And my gym date was pushed back a half hour meaning I had time to try and wait it out. Oh well.
It must be a Sunday if I'm posting about laundry. ๐คท
Thanks. Already got some of that w/ Sports Medicine (Ortho was convinced this wasn't chronic exertional compartment syndrome and I admit it was pretty atypical but I did have elevated muscle pressure) The Spaulding doc doesn't seem to care about the tenderness that happens alongside the tightness.
Thanks! I did mention EDS to my PCP but ended up with a cardiology referral because of my high blood pressure. I've been on meds for a year now and have family history. Wondering if my vascular issues are contributing to that. (I'd also wanted that so I'm not feeling too gaslit.)
The other 2 possible answers are hypermobility and vascular issues. I think both are contributing and may be linked (?). I can get vascular surgery once I recover from the hysterectomy. But I'm not sure what I can do for the hypermobility.
I don't necessarily regret getting that surgery. I was going on the information I had at the time. The Sports Medicine MD did warn me there was a chance it wouldn't be 100% successful. But I felt stuck between "living with it" (always tight and not running) or trying the surgery so I took a chance.
I'm still not feeling the marathon weekend this year. But I'm not as jaded as I was last year. Back then I was still looking for answers, hadn't gotten anything besides inconclusive MRIs. Now I have 3 possible answers and found 1 of them wasn't the correct one. (The compartment release surgery)
Lesson learned don't start sheets when someone still has clothes in the dryer. It would be better to hang socks and underwear than a set of full sheets.
Still there. ๐ Ended up hanging my sheets because I have a gym date with a friend. I have a half load of clothes I put in the dryer and a half load of clothes I hand. It's $2 in quarters to wash so often I'll combine them (as long as it doesn't overload the washer)
Took a gamble laundry wise and put a dryer load in despite someone still having clothes in the dryer. It was still warm, not sure when they finished. So now I'm waiting for them to move it before I can start another load. I waited a half hour and it was still there. Should check again.
Deeply grateful for all of the support, thank you. just found out Iโll need more surgery - not quite ready to talk publicly about that yet
Thanks! Treating fibroids and suspected endo. Glad I got a pelvic MRI in September. I just want to fast forward to the 7th. Been dealing with above baseline pain and fatigue ๐
Finished season 2 of the Pitt. Got to watch it with ASL inlay. Did I learn any signs? Nope, but the accessibility is cool!
Only surprise was that the surgeon wants to extend my weight restrictions to 10 weeks because of my Crohn's. No more than 10 pounds. Grocery shopping is going to be interesting. I don't know if it's worth investing in delivery when I live 2 flights up.
๐ thanks! I've seen it online a lot it's my turn to finally use it.
Screencap of a countdown. I titled it yeeterus and used a space shuttle lifting off with plenty of exhaust as the background. 3 weeks 0 days 00 hours.
Meeting with the gyn surgeon tomorrow. I have a google doc. Some questions I could probably ask on gateway so I have to filter the most important. (But that depends on the office's attitude towards gateway)
I started shifting my friends celebration to May because of election week. 2016 and 2018 absolutely soured me celebrating the day of. But my family still celebrates it in November.
I wasn't sure what to do for my half birthday this year and once again ran out of time to plan. This year I'm having surgery so I'm not going to plan anything the last weekend of April/first weekend of May.
Maybe 2026 I won't be as worked up in November so I can celebrate with my friends? Doubtful.
Jumbotron over center ice at TD Garden. Graphic says Boston Fleet Day April 11 proclaimed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Governor declared yesterday April 11th Boston Fleet day but as far as I know neither she nor the Lt Gov were in the building last night. Like you'd think they'd show video of them when they announced the declaration. They made sure to show video of Patrice Bergeron and the 1998 Women's Olympic team.
Dad texted me after he saw a video on the news. Not sure what channel.
Weird it came back. I'd copied *everything* onto a spreadsheet months ago but was still logging in the app as well for that streak. Before my surgery 6 months ago I hit 63 days. But the app won't let you retroactively save your streak so it's broken a few times since I added the second program.
I think going to the Fleet game is a good excuse to break my PT streak. I wrapped up with MGH PT on Thursday and lost access to the app anyway. Hadn't gotten past the high of 41 days unfortunately. Wish I'd taken a more up-to-date screenshot.
I survived ๐ had fun even though the Fleet lost.
The Jumbotron at TD Garden above center ice. A fan is holding a handmade sign with the drake meme. Top photo is the TD Garden logo and the bottom photo is the Boston Fleet Center. Fleet is stylized as the team name.
I couldn't zoom in time but I love this meme sign. ๐
