Amen. Even if an indie bookstore only has room for a section highlighting indie authors who are local, the section should bring new foot traffic into the store -- including the author's friends and people who have read about the book in local media. The indie books would be taken on consignment.

I love the support indie bookstores get. They deserve it. But it saddens me that indie authors don’t get the same support. Indie bookstores largely won’t stock indie books and we’re the most hard hit by the online boycott. It would be nice if indie book stores could return the support we give them.
