The books were almost treated like something cursed unless fans loved something from it (like the ODSTs and IIIs), then they took them from the books and acted like they made them.

We only see a small handful of civilian casualties in Reach during Exodus. While Reach starting feeling tragic towards the end, it *should* have been tragic from the start, not badass Spartans

But thats my issue with Reach.

The IIIs *were* made to be expendable. Making the IIIs being Master Chief levels of powerful isnt the problem (as they actually were with augmentations), its rather taking them and making them not what they were.

Its why I wish Reach was less "Badass Spartans" and-

Reach would have been far more interesting if it was less another Spartan Story and an attempt to retell Reach's fall, and if it was rather a anthology.

While Reach fell in a day in the book, it had a lot of things to explore

I dont want to keep ranting, but the story of Reach was a massive "fuck you" from Bungie to Eric Nyland, who literally helped them finish writing CEs script. And as much work 343/HS has done to fix this timeline mess, Reach has broken it hard

-MJOLNIR due to how expensive MJOLNIR was (at the time), how expendable they were, the numbers (Spartan IIIs came in companies of 300 to more to the Spartan IIs 75), and the missions they did.

Then NOBLE just gave them MJOLNIR, which went against the entire point of the IIIs.
