nope. fuckin stupid. Ceres was discovered first, before the asteroid belt in which it resides, and when the belt was discovered it was classified as a large spherical asteroid cuz its orbit isn't clear. Pluto crosses another planets orbit (not even Ceres does this) and meanders into the kuiper belt
looking like they're not going to break that record. guess we'll have to try again in WW IV
