Main Character Syndrome On Mile End Kicks and seeing one's life depicted on the big screen

I lived in Montreal in the 2010s and was part of the Mile End music scene that launched Grimes and Mac DeMarco to stardom.

After watching Mile End Kicks, I wrote about how trippy it was to see a funhouse mirror version of those years depicted on the silver screen.

Bike lanes do take space away from drivers.
Why not get rid of sidewalks too, hell school zones really slow drivers down..get rid of schools! While we're at it i'm kind of tired of those pesky residential areas with their people and stop signs - no more homes! Nothing but roads and parking lots.

Saint Clare Released New Album “Everyone’s Old and No One Goes to Parties Anymore” Ottawa’s Saint Clare has released their full-length album, Everyone’s Old and No One Goes to Parties Anymore. Centered around the discomfort of aging and the weight of grief, the record is a collection of "neon and noir" rock n’ roll. Produced by Mike Dubue (Timber Timbre), the record draws inspiration from new wave, dad rock, and 90s R&B, resulting in a sound that refuses to be pigeon-holed.

Will More Warehouses Burn? A California logistics worker allegedly burned down a 1.2-million-square-foot warehouse in anger over low pay. The billionaire class may have to learn the hard way: you can only pack so much pressure into a deeply unequal system before it blows.

The Atmospheric Stillness of Hasui Kawase’s Summer Rain
This 1932 woodblock print by Hasui Kawase, titled Summer Rain, captures a tranquil river scene in Japan during a gentle downpour. The composition is dominated by a vast, greenish-blue body of water reflecting a distant shoreline and a sailboat, while a small cluster of houseboats is moored in the foreground. A solitary figure with a blue umbrella walks along the grassy bank, adding a sense of quietude and human presence to the misty landscape.
