Air travel has been a testing ground for Americans to accept fascism since 9/11. Remember life before there was even TSA? They said, to get on a plane you need to accept the airport as a site of surveillance & infringement on your human person. ICE being there really just expands that.

I so wish I’d spent my time recharging, really resting, or enjoying a hobby. Instead I’m tired, grumpy, lonelier than when I started, and disappointed at the amount of relief my compulsive organizing brought.

Brains are weird, man.

Why tho? Because, curating memories means controlling what can and can’t still hurt me. Putting them in boxes makes them “safe”. I don’t have to remember everything all the time every day, either.

Today my OCD convinced me to spend 4 hours painstakingly organizing every photo on my phone. I’m talking categories and subcategories, mass deletion and more. I don’t think I blinked more than a dozen times.
