She will read from across fifteen books, from Shale (1994) to Infinity Pool (2025).

The Ireland Chair of Poetry was set up in 1998 following the award of the Nobel Prize of Literature to Seamus Heaney and is jointly held between Queen’s University, Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, the Arts Council of Northern Ireland and the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon

Vona Groarke has been welcomed by the Ireland Chair of Poetry Trust as the new Ireland Professor of Poetry.
The position will run from September 2025 to November 2028.
