He's an android meant for tending to wounds and illnesses with all living creatures. If he's lacking information, he will do his research in order to help. He was built with the ability to feel, taste, and process food in order to feel less like a robot and more like a living being and be less unsettling to patients. Though he was given free will at a later date thanks to Akitennae, who had empathy with Travis, seeing as he's also an android but one built for a specific task. Travis feels a little aimless now that he is free to do as he wants.
