Pios winning the national championship broke Bluesky.

"Is Denver going to steal another one?" is a weird way to talk about a team that's won more national championships than any other program in college hockey, won four more games than Wisconsin this season, and won the toughest conference tournament in the sport.

I was listening to Loud Outs on my way home, and they were talking about the problems with using Dollander out of the bullpen.

And while that is what’s happening, there’s a whole lot more going on with that situation that they don’t see.

Plus, there’s money to be made with Denver Baseball.

They will continue to build out the analytics and support what DePodesta and Byrnes are trying to do.

This is just me spitballing, but I think they are going to try to change how pitching works (not just pitching at elevation), and their money would underwrite this.

They have been effective owners for the Broncos.

I would expect their approach to be quite similar here — and they have a significant but minority share.

Rick is, I think, determined to pass a majority stake to his children.

As I wrote in this morning's @pitcherlist.com newsletter, the #Rockies have been doing some good things since a miserable 2025 season ended. This seems to continue that trend.

Broncos owners buy 40% ownership stake in the Colorado Rockies

BREAKING: The Penner Sports Group, which owns a controlling interest in the Denver Broncos, is purchasing a 40% share of the Rockies, Dick Monfort and Charlie Monfort announced Friday.

The family entity of Greg and Carrie Walton Penner now becomes the largest minority partner of the Rockies.

My other big surprise was no Bad Bunny because he’s appeared in these lists in the past.

He talked about this at Rockies Fest — Mickey and his wife saw a YouTube video and thought it was cool.

(I am so old.)

An interesting side note is how many partners picked (or have a significant voice in) the players’ choices.

Yeah, but he uses a specific moment in the song that (I thought) works pretty well.
