The song Gregg Allman wrote for Duane Allman After the death of his brother Duane, Gregg Allman memorialised his brother in The Allman Brothers Band song 'Ain't Waistin' Time No More'

This song was Gregg’s tribute to fallen brother Duane.

“Eat a Peach” came from Duane. Just before his death he explained the meaning of the phrase to writer Ellen Mandel. “I’m hitting a lick for peace—and every time I’m in Georgia, I eat a peach for peace”

The Who’s Quadrophenia Tour (circa ‘73-4). We had 5th row seats.

They were TERRIBLE. Backing tapes were piped in w the band just going thru the motions.

So why would I want to see that again? Because the opening act was an unknown band called Lynyrd Skynyrd who knocked our socks off. 😎
