Also realised my last few posts have been quite negative so I wanted to share a positive too.
In two weeks, I’ll be in Milan having hopefully been to see Inter v Lazio for my birthday 😁

Toddler germ count: 5689
In addition to my lack of voice and sore throat that I lost on Wednesday, I now have a gland (that I didn’t know existed) that’s made my neck feel twice as big 😂
Yey nursery germs!
Only Greg James and Radio 1 could have me laughing and then crying within the space of about 5 minutes.
What Greg is doing on this cycling journey across the country for Comic Relief is nothing short of phenomenal and it’s so strange to be so proud of someone you’ve never met.
Legend.
Considering it’s currently chaos live at the Valley, tonight is going to be a great one!
Your usual does of chaos with the myself, Kai and Paul will be kicking off in just over an hour!

Got a 30 minute break between sessions tonight to try and catch some of the England game, Ukraine are incredibly tight defensively from the short snippet I’ve seen!
Sitting looking through old newspaper archives and I hear an owl hoot outside of my window… if I’ve transported back in time I’m all here for it - I’m just missing the cosy fire and armchair.
We had beautiful blue skies and then thundering rain in the space of an hour yesterday, got absolutely soaked coming back from the dog walk 😂
It’s the time of year where you’re always going to choose the wrong coat!
How come January lasts for a good 5 years and then you blink and it’s March?
Sending everyone their customary nips and punches for the first day of the month 😂
Really proud of this series so do check it out if you’re a women’s football fan!

What I’ve always admired about the NWSL kits is how bold and individual they can be whereas UK kits are so rooted in traditional they can become a bit repetitive and boring.
I do, however, need the Denver Summit and San Diego wave kits asap… absolutely stunning.

🚨 Calling all women’s football historians/writers/archivists 🚨
I’m looking for any helpful tips/guidance for a new research project surrounding the history of Aston Villa Women.
If you’ve got any contacts/ideas to support this please do get in touch, thank you! 😊
The positive to my lack of sleep situation is that I get to watch Alice Roberts’ new documentary without any interruptions!
Everyone else is currently snoring away and I’m on a train journey across the Roman Empire! 😂
Which other football podcast references Fame Academy and Katie Melua? None (and that’s a fact) 🎈
Always a pleasure to talk as much women’s football as possible (and niche early 00s references) with my favourite people

Thank you! Since having the baby we’ve been stuck in a cycle of chaos so we’re ready to try and reclaim some of that for ourselves 😊
Just dumping my thoughts here as it’s far too late.
I’m having trouble sleeping recently so I’m doing what anyone else would… replanning my whole life while watching Jane McDonald 😂
My wife and I have itchy feet about moving and now I can’t stop thinking about new houses and getting a new job.
England and Ireland’s WNT squads dropped today and overall I’m excited to see how both perform in their qualifiers with some new and returning faces for both sides!
- Both countries in League A for qualifying
3rd March:
- England travel to face Ukraine in Turkey
- Rep. of Ireland host France
Really disappointing weekend of football results so I’m going to share some clear starry night photos instead from my dog walk.
Our 1 year old was at nursery, I didn’t start work until 4 and my wife had the early afternoon free too.
Life is really chaotic and sometimes you feel like you’ve lost who you were but then you get moments that work like this.
So we took the doggo on a 5km walk and all was well in the world ❤️
I felt myself snap back into teacher mode and made sure the door was always securely fastened (wasn’t an auto-close unfortunately) and reminding children to be careful.
I’m worn out more than the baby 😂
Soft plays are such an interesting ecosystem of people.
Children today varied from lovely and polite to almost stampeding through my 1 year old (as she crawled along through the dinosaurs living her best life)
This was the toddler bit I might add where max age is 3 and these kids were easy 8/9
The 5 point cushion Villa women had is now reduced to 2 as Everton take their second win in a row over LCL.
Villa look stuck back in their rut from previous seasons and it’s clear issues run deeper.
The players and fans are so tired and frustrated and the club need to sort it out.
Officially finished recording podcast 4 of 4 for the week!
Now catching up with episode 1 of the Lost Grail with Alice Roberts as I add the latest bits of transfer news to my transfer tracker.
The dog is snoring soundly and the baby is also asleep. What a cracking Thursday night

Bristol City take a bow signing Woś!
Oh completely agree and I’m so happy Salmon finally got her goal! Will do wonders for her confidence.
Pretty even first half but unfortunately the second half was just so flat (for both teams) and ultimately they left Fernández unmarked in the box twice and got punished.
Live tweeting for @partofthepridepod.bsky.social today and such a disappointing result (and performance) from Villa.
Although the loss does mean Everton got their first ever win at Goodison Park so swings and roundabouts I suppose!
I’ve been back here about 10 minutes and I’ve scrolled past some beautiful nature photos and already feel calmer 😂 no idea why I didn’t do this sooner. A whole new life over here!
