as for tomino's gundams... i don't think i ignore the flaws so much as i work with them? his work might depict things imperfectly but it's worth it because it's given any consideration at all... why ignore things just because you don't have the perfect language to express an idea

its a franchise that involves so many creatives and executives and a lot of them miss the mark (in my eyes) most of the time. im a fan of tomino's work firstly and find that no other gundam (except for gundam x) lives up to the standard he set
