It must be utterly exhausting to have to constantly pretend to believe all the bullshit that's put out there by the Rapist In Chief and his administration.

I can see how he misunderstood the image. I mean, I always wear sunglasses to my checkups so I don't have to squint in the light emanating from the palms of my doctor's hands.
Tip for any blasphemer wannabes: You can delete it, but that won't make it go away.
I feel like I have written this a million times, but the US *always* has unlimited funding for killing people and blowing shit up, but we can *never* afford to heal the sick, feed the hungry, house the homeless, or otherwise help anyone in need.
The only people I know for sure are Trump voters are my family members. They no longer talk to me about politics, so I don't know their current feelings on the matter. But I *suspect* they do not regret it, because as far as I can tell, they believe whatever spin the Rapist In Chief puts out there.
Years ago my family asked my wife and I if we wanted my (deceased) aunt's china. We told them we would love to have it, but they all must understand that if we took it, we would be using it for everyday. They all agreed. We also use her "good" silver. It's a pleasure.
I'm sure I must have said this about a million times by now: We have unlimited funding for killing people and blowing shit up, but never enough to feed the hungry, heal the sick, house the homeless, or otherwise help those in need. I'm not especially religious, but this is definitely a Sin.
I say it all the time:
We, the richest country in the world, can never, ever afford to house the homeless, feed the hungry, or heal the sick. But there is an entirely unlimited budget for incarceration, killing people, and/or blowing shit up.
I don't believe any American President will ever spend a single minute in prison for any reason. I'm not saying they *shouldn't,* but I am 100% sure that they won't.
My parents & family taught me to respect everyone, regardless of their skin color or gender, whether they were rich or poor, etc, and to always be helpful to others, especially anyone in need or less fortunate than ourselves. Now they're all Trump voters, and I'm left wondering what happened.
Exactly this.
Lately I've been receiving one or two emails each day from Spotify, offering me one free month of a "personal AI DJ." As if that's something I might want.
Things that will happen when he's gone:
* we're going to learn about shit he did that's so heinous, it makes the stuff we know about look tame
* his many minions will claim to have "always opposed" him and demand sympathy for their suffering at his hands
* dancing in the streets, worldwide
Sydney Sweeney needs to be canceled, and it's disgusting that the Republican Party supports her.
Read my essay on it here: charlotteclymer.substack.com/p/why-sydney...
No matter how well any given day may go for you, no matter what beauty or good you may find in it, or how many happy moments you may experience, there is also a constant, insidious, gnawing sense of dread eating at you, grinding you down to a nub. Your mind can never quite fully find peace.
I've been asking ever since the Rapist In Chief's first administration: Why is it always we non-MAGAs who are expected to try to see their perspective? Why is there no reciprocal expectation that *they* try to understand *us?*
I've been saying it for years: The richest country in the world somehow can't ever afford to feed our hungry or administer to our sick, yet we have completely unlimited funding to kill people and blow shit up.
Following yesterday’s passage of the Rapist-In-Chief’s budget, I’ll take the opportunity to repeat my mantra about America:
Always remember that we can NEVER afford to feed the hungry or heal the sick, but we ALWAYS have unlimited money for killing people and blowing shit up.
Thanks for the heads-up. Downloading now....
I've almost stopped taking photos at shows, but I felt like maybe if I'm seeing a Beatle I should have a pic to commemorate it.
Ringo at Mann Center, Philadelphia, 6/15/25.
Maybe he should use some of Elon's subsidy money to restore the NASA budget his Big Belligerent Budget gutted, including a 47% cut to their science research projects. Just a thought....
Came here to mention this, as well as Silent Running.
Was coming here to say this.
Same here.
For the last few years I've been calling them Repugnicans
I say it all the time: "common sense is a myth."
Absolutely. The only good thing about the administration is the effect it has had on my meditation practice. It was on & off --mostly off-- for decades prior to inauguration 2017. Since then I haven't missed a single day. You can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first.
I absolutely love everything about her, but AOC simply cannot be our next President. It pains me deeply to say so, but if we want any chance of winning, our next nominee has got to be a man. He also needs to be white, straight, and likely should not be Jewish. To pretend otherwise is pure folly.
Sure, it's very definitely something to aspire to. But in my experience that's not what people mean when they say it. People say it as if it's a fact, which it is clearly not.
I've been saying for years that everybody needs to stop saying "no one is above the law." That was never true in the first place, and currently it's becoming progressively less true every day.
